Stand at the nearest bus stop sign shed or shelter while waiting for the bus. Make sure the bus driver can see you, so you don't get passed. Always indicate to the driver that you want to ride the bus.

Here are some important reminders while riding the bus in Greenville:

  • After paying your fare, make your way to the back of the bus. Please reserve front-row seats for elderly or disabled passengers. Please take your heart as soon as possible. It allows the driver to begin moving and assists the driver in staying on schedule.
  • Hold the grab rails or seat backs when walking on a bus. On a moving bus, do not move around. Wait until the vehicle has come to a complete stop before getting out of your seat.
  • Please make the front seats of the bus available for elderly or disabled passengers.
  • Please refrain from eating or smoking for the sake of other passengers. Please use caution and courtesy when transporting items such as umbrellas and groceries. Keep your feet off the seats and take all trash with you to help keep your buses clean.
  • Please notify the driver if you find an item on the bus that another rider may have left behind. All items left on the bus are returned.
  • Please call +1 864-467-5000 if you leave an item on the bus.
  • Please do not converse with the driver. Their job requires that he or they concentrate entirely on driving the bus; conversing may distract him or them.
  • Give the driver several notices that you will get off the bus. Pull the bell cord at least one block before exiting.
  • Exit the bus through the rear exit door. It allows passengers to board through the front door, and the bus can keep to its schedule more easily.
  • Remember not to cross the street in front of the bus after exiting. Before attempting to cross the street, stand away from the bus and wait until it has passed.
